1930s Paris Police Uniforms

“Co-operation of those asked for information has been remarkable,” recalled Western Costume Co. Director of Research David S. Preston in a Variety interview in 1933. “Paris police when requested for a description of the uniforms of the body could only supply black and white photographs. Realizing that the description would be useless for color pictures, they made a complete set of colored drawings to supplement the photos.”
